What is College View High School?
College View High School is a choice high school that focuses on innovative instruction and relationships to prepare students for the next step. Students from College Station ISD must apply and be accepted to our school. We have a focus on the arts as well as dual credit for our students in conjunction with Blinn College. We also house a few other unique programs for our district. Volunteering may be available at different times in many different areas. Below is a description of the different parts of our campus where volunteers may be needed.

CVHS Tutoring and Help
CVHS is a high school where students are provided a unique setting to experience innovative learning in an environment that fits their individual needs. Just like in any school, some students may still need extra tutoring or support. Some teachers may request volunteers for special assignments for tutoring. Teachers may also want volunteers to help with other tasks such as making copies, laminating, creating or organizing materials, or other such "office" type activities. CVHS may also have volunteer opportunities for special occasions such as field trips, special events, or fundraisers.

Bridges
Bridges is an 18 plus program that supports students with special needs to gain experience in many things to help them be successful at life. Volunteering here may include special community activities or in class mentoring and support. You may come to class and work with a student or group of students or may be able to go on outings and help chaperone. They do many activities outside of the school as well as in the classroom during the school day.

Tutoring/Mentoring in the DAEP
The DAEP is a program located on our campus but is completely separate from CVHS. The DAEP serves the entire district as a consequence for behavior. Students here are placed for a period of time to work on behavior and academic skills in a structured environment. Volunteering here would include tutoring in certain subject areas and mentoring. The DAEP is made of two parts, Venture and LEAP. Venture consists of two parts, middle school (6th-8th grades), and high school (9th-12th grades). LEAP is for ages 6 years old through 5th grade. We focus on academics as well as social emotional learning.
